October 6th Food Diary

Net calories – 1540

I was having trouble planning in enough food to hit my calorie goal, and was originally set to hit ~1400 for the day. But during my lifting class, I got really dizzy and blacked out right off a bench–I’m 99% sure it was due to a big blood pressure drop/orthostatic hypotension as a result of the heat… it’s been 90 degrees, and the class before us is full of seniors doing zumba or something so the room is left like a sauna for us, and none of the windows at this school open more than 3 inches. It was nice and cool outside since it was nighttime–but nope, the room was still 85! SO frustrating.

The instructor was all suspicious and asked (for the second time in 2 weeks) if I’d eaten before the workout. And I had such a huge meal beforehand! I feel like such a failure–not only am I the lightest lifter by far in the class (of guys), but my body won’t even let me remain standing (or sitting on a bench for that matter) without sweating profusely, blacking out, and falling over.

So I went home and ate even more, just in case. I’m tired of this heat, it completely messes up my body and ability to function normally. I wish I could adapt (especially considering it’s mild weather for most people) but I’ve been this way for years and doctors haven’t figured out why 😦

It’s supposed to be 85 again on Wednesday. I can’t believed that my second to last week of this class is being completely ruined by the weather!
