Starch Solution, Years Past: Food & Exercise Diaries

Day 9 of Higher Carb Starch Solution: April 22nd

Day 9/28

In the morning I walked a very sketchy, rainy 2 miles to book my storage unit for the summer. I had to cross the street a few times just to avoid people that were harassing pedestrians and peeing on cars. I’m so excited to permanently move out of Berkeley in 3 weeks 😀

Also, I’m going to start adding my fitbit calories burned estimate to posts so you can see how I can eat over my calories burned in carbs and not gain weight–and even lose it instead! I’ve also gone back and added it to past posts since I have all the data and it might be interesting for some. Although the fitbit obviously doesn’t give a perfectly accurate estimate of my calories burned, it was definitely quite accurate when I was eating a more moderate-fat diet–that is, if I ate over what it said I burned, I gained weight, and if I ate below it I lost weight. (Yay for data validation!)

Today was also one of those cinnamon roll days I mentioned in the original post for this series… I got one with hazelnut frosting and brownie bites. It was a nice treat to have while working on the final draft of my thesis!
