Day 8 – 12/02
I had very little appetite today, which made sense given how much I ate last night. A fun side effect of that Indian buffet: I woke up holding onto so much water weight that my eyes were swollen… I guess that’s what happens when you eat a ton of sodium after eating low-sodium for awhile.
The cravings are pretty much gone, so I think I’m finally settling into a MWL groove–the only things I really wanted today were potatoes and veggies! And there was a reception in my lab’s building after a talk (which I attended, I’m not a total freeloader!) so I nabbed 2 plates of leftover fruit while grinding away at my experiment for 7 hours, I felt like a very lucky grad student 😛
Exercise: walked 4 miles
Breakfast:
- Small sweet potato (~100g)
- Coldbrew coffee with soymilk
Lunch:
- 5 small red potatoes (~400g)
- 2 bunches of grapes, a few strawberries
Dinner:
- Celery and barbecue sauce, garlic grilled mushrooms
- Balsamic roasted carrots, broccoli, and red onion
- Sweet potato hot chocolate
