Day 19 (12/13) of Back to High Carb Intuitive Eating

Weigh in time: this morning I weighed 115 lbs, which means I’m 2 lbs down since starting this experiment! I had been gaining prior to this (hooray for whacked out hormones), so it took me about 2 weeks to change directions from gaining to starting to lose. That may be a long time course for some, but I’m really happy with these results given I haven’t been hungry or restricting my intake at all!

I imagine some of it is water weight from eating less sodium, but hopefully things keep moving in the right direction.

This morning I couldn’t finish my veggie hash because I was too full. Intuitive eating is really working: now both my hunger and fullness signals are back in action! I also had a potluck at night at my advisor’s house, and didn’t overeat there either… potlucks are usually pretty tough for me, so that was definitely a good sign.

My potluck contributions: mashed sweet potatoes with candied pecans, and hard apple cider

Exercise: walked 2.5 miles


  • Veggie potato hash with 2 medium-large yukon gold potatoes, broccoli, mushrooms, onion, bell peppers, and tomato
  • Coldbrew coffee with soymilk


  • Baked banana oatmeal
  • Huge kale salad with 3 medium red potatoes


  • Potluck food: mashed sweet potato, rice with veggies, bread, samosa, buckeye, banana chips, hard cider
