I woke up with a scratchy throat and felt fatigued all day–by the time 4pm rolled around and I almost felt too tired to pack for my road trip to San Diego tomorrow, I knew I had a cold or flu coming on.
In the hopes of fighting it off, I started eating raw garlic like a fiend (there’s science supporting this, I’ll make a video on it soon!): I had 1 clove like a shot, and incorporated 3 more into a raw marinara for fries with dinner. I also felt extra ravenous, as often happens when I feel something coming on, so I had more fat than normal in the form of pecans.
Exercise: walked 7 miles
Breakfast:
- Leftover mashed sweet potato
- Handful of pretzels in lab
- Coldbrew coffee with soymilk
Lunch:
- 6 small red potatoes
- Baked banana oatmeal
Dinner:
- 2 veggie patties
- Red potato fries with tomato sauce
- Apple, dates, pecans and chocolate chips
