All my raw garlic and extra food (or just my immune system) paid off: I didn’t wake up sick! Ever since I’ve been vegan I’ve gotten sick less than half as much as I used to, it’s amazing. And on those rare occasions when I do feel something coming on like yesterday, it almost always goes away.
Because I managed to avoid sickness, my road trip to San Diego went through! I’ve always struggled to keep enough good, easy to eat carbs on hand during road trips–especially since I get way hungrier than you’d expect given I’m technically spending the day sitting for 8-10 hours. I usually end up eating multiple clif bars and feeling a bit sick from all the added sugar. But this time, I got smart and picked up 2 sourdough bread bowls from Panera to get me through the drive!
Exercise: walked 3 miles
Breakfast:
- Sweet potato banana pudding
- Coldbrew coffee with soymilk
Lunch:
- Sourdough bread bowl
Dinner:
- Sourdough bread bowl with an apple
Snack:
- Mango
- 2 slices of bread with cherry jam
