I go over scientific studies on how fruit and fruit juice intake affect your health, particularly in terms of inflammation, insulin resistance and diabetes risk, cardiovascular risk markers, and overall mortality. I also go over the optimal range of fruit consumption–that is, how much to eat per day.
The Q&As, plus the ability to make research requests and get bonus content, video sneak peeks, etc. I talk about is all over on my Patreon page.

- A note on funding: this was one of those VERY frustrating topics to research because it’s a minefield out there. (I really don’t like industry funded studies.) The conclusions I talk about in the video are supported by non-funded studies. I cite a few reviews that were funded by industry (note the authors didn’t actually collect any data, just summarized the data from other studies out there) because they’re recent, comprehensive and/or have clearer abstracts, so they’ll be more useful for any of you who want to look at the papers. But for every funded study I cite, I first made sure it was well supported by non-funded studies.
